On Tuesday 26th April the ty students from CBS met with PJ Fitzpatrick from Coillte to plant some trees and then they were busy in their community garden planting cabbage and cauliflower and calendula. Their strawberry patch is coming along nicely.

Also on Tuesday the pupils from educate together done a litter pick around the school and the area.

On Wednesday 27th April we headed to Colombia College with PJ and Hazel to launch the "New Beginnings", this is where the first year students are all given a tree to bring home and plant, the tree is a symbol of their journey starting in first year and going on into adulthood. The students can name their tree and we are holding a competition to see who comes up with the best name and story about the tree in the school. Huge Thanks to PJ and Hazel who also spoke to the students that day about the importance of nature and biodiversity.

On Friday 29th April we headed to St. Colman's national school and planted some new trees there.
